Vacancy – WAREHOUSE/YARD OPERATIVE

A vacancy exists within Cartmore at our Lochgelly branch for a Warehouse / Yard operative.

Duties include off-loading delivery vehicles by forklift and placing stock in correct locations, making up loads from our stockholding for delivery on our own vehicles, picking orders for customers and loading onto /into their vehicles and loading our own vehicles.

Responsibilities also include checking deliveries in and matching with delivery notes, general housekeeping and engaging with customers in a positive and helpful manner.

The position is permanent and full-time and competence in driving counterbalance forklifts is preferable. You will also be required to operate an electric aisle master forklift.

Whilst some competence of forklifts is desirable, we will require you to complete relevant testing programmes to ensure we are health and safety compliant.

An understanding of construction products will be beneficial and as you will operate as part of a wider, experienced team, so too is an easy-going nature and willingness to work with colleagues.
