In any business it’s important to keep up to the mark with plant and equipment and it’s no different at Cartmore.
Running 5 HGVs along with the support items necessary such as forklifts and loading shovels means that it’s important that these items are renewed and replaced with a planned regularity as they all do a significant amount of work servicing our customer needs.
Cartmore is therefore embarked on a programme of renewing the whole fleet of vehicles and equipment of all kinds within the company.
Two HGVs were replaced in 2015 and this year a third was also renewed. There are currently 2 JCB material handlers on order for our busy Lochgelly yard where we blend and bag our unique ranges of decorative aggregates and roughcast chips.
Next year will see a further planned replacement of 2 Lorries and a forklift truck with the remaining items following on from this investment.
Our fleet of lorries and equipment are an advertisement for our company and we are determined that this investment of approaching £1 million will move the company onto a new and sustainable footing for the future.
